Vicky Shaw

My name is Vicky Shaw, and I manage the OAADSS service.  I have worked with Autism at Kingwood since 2010, first as a support worker and then as a support manager.  I joined the OAADSS team in November 2021.

I have multiple long term health conditions and was diagnosed with autism as an adult at 26 years old.  It has since become somewhat of a special interest.  I especially enjoy researching different sensory aids and have a fairly well-equipped sensory collection in my sensory room at home.

I live on my own with a dog (Kahllie) and my two cats (Billy and Cora).  You may see Billy at the office from time to time.  My interests are reading crime and horror, gym classes, watching true crime/disasters/when things go wrong, and learning about rarer medical conditions (such as FND and PANDAS).  I also volunteer for 1st Hanney Brownies, and really enjoy being a part of this.
